TradNation to Perform at Epcot’s Canada Pavilion
With the Canadian Lumberjacks recently getting the axe, it opened up a spot for a brand new entertainment offering at Epcot’s Canada Pavilion. That new offering debuted today and the band is known as TradNation. TradNation is a musical family ensemble that will introduce Guests to a taste of the rich French Canadian heritage of Quebec.
The ensemble group is composed of musicians, singers and dancers and during their sets, they will perform in Quebecois tradition, showcasing not only traditional songs, but they will also perform original family compositions. Their music is designed to showcase the community experience that brings together friends, families, and neighbors.
TradNation will be performing five days a week on the Mill Stage in World Showcase.
Wondering if any of them are actually Canadian? I don’t believe Off-Kilter was and I have no idea about the lumberjacks. I think it would be harder to find non-Quebecois singers and train them in the style described than it would be just to hire some real Quebecois, but you never know with Disney….
I can tell you that they are Canadian. I read an article from a Canadian source that confirms it. (It’s in French…keep that in mind.) http://www.lanouvelle.net/Culture/2016-01-04/article-4393498/Nicolas-part-violoner-a-Disney/1
“designed to showcase the community experience that brings together friends, families, and neighbors.”
And how many times has Quebec tried to secede? The opposite of bringing together.
“they will perform in Quebecois tradition”
Does this mean they will periodically petition to secede from the rest of the Canada pavilion?
You win the internets!
…and I give them 6 months.
If possible here, I would give a thousand stars/likes/whatever.
Oh for the love of it all, just bring back Off Kilter
