It’s a gorgeous day at the Magic Kingdom. Today our team is at Magic Kingdom to see what’s new and to keep an eye on things to ensure our Lines app and other tools are up to date. We’re noticing a few more characters making socially distant appearances. At Cinderella Castle more Walt Disney World 50th anniversary embellishments are being added. Today is also the first day guests can officially remove their face coverings for photos outdoors. Come take a look.

Mulan joined the Disney princesses this morning in their appearance at the Main Street U.S.A. train station. At Tomorrowland Stitch played with and popped bubbles. And over at Adventureland Jack Sparrow, excuse me, Captain Jack Sparrow, was looking for rum at Adventureland. Sadly, he’ll have to keep looking because Tortuga Tavern is now a stroller parking lot. How ironic.

While at Adventureland, Chrissy snagged a table at Skipper Canteen. We’ll have a full review up in a few days. Over at Frontierland, crowds fills the streets as Splash Mountain was offline for a bit this early afternoon.

Now, today is the first day face coverings do not have to be worn when taking a photo outdoors. Our own Erin Foster was at Magic Kingdom yesterday and needed to keep her face covering on while getting a picture taken by a PhotoPass photographer. Fast forward to today at EPCOT and the PhotoPass photographer actually asked her to remove her face covering.

  • I’m so exited about taking masks off for photos! I am going in a month, and I don’t mind wearing a mask around, but having it on for pictures felt like a big bummer!

  • Largest wait time for Big Thunder was only 16 mins! That is pretty good!

  • I LOVE that face coverings can come OFF for photos!! This was the biggest change back to normal that I was hoping to see for our trip this summer!
