Disney Adds Two New VIP Tours at Walt Disney World

If you are someone who enjoys experiencing the ultimate indulgences while visiting the Walt Disney World Resort and would enjoy partaking in a special VIP tour, you are in luck! Disney is now offering two brand-new unique tours to choose from–one with the thrill-seeker in mind and one geared towards families with little ones.

The first is “The Ultimate Day for Young Families – a VIP Tour Experience.” This tour caters to families with children under 10 years of age and features family-friendly attractions.

The tour begins in the Magic Kingdom, where guests will get the chance to enjoy Buzz Lightyear’s Space Ranger Spin, it’s a small world, The Barnstormer, Tomorrowland Speedway, The Magic Carpets of Aladdin, Peter Pan’s Flight, Dumbo the Flying Elephant, and Under the Sea ~ Journey of the Little Mermaid. After a tour of the Magic Kingdom, guests will enjoy a table service lunch at a Disney resort. The tour will then continue at Disney’s Hollywood Studios where guests will enjoy Disney Junior – Live on Stage! and Toy Story Midway Mania! Finally, guests will head to Disney’s Animal Kingdom, where the tour concludes with Festival of the Lion King and Kilimanjaro Safaris.

This tour is offered Sunday, Tuesday, and Friday. The tour begins at the Tomorrowland Terrace at 8:15 a.m. (check-in is 15 minutes prior) and lasts for approximately 6-7 hours. The cost is $299 per person, plus tax, but there is a 15% discount available for guests with a Disney Visa, Disney Vacation Club members, and Annual Passholders. Guests under 18 require a participating adult with them, and photo ID is required. In addition, ECVs are not permitted, and photography is prohibited in backstage areas.

The second tour being offered is called, “The Ultimate Day of Thrills – a VIP Tour Experience.” This tour is geared towards those looking for Disney’s best thrills.

The tour starts at the Magic Kingdom, where guests will have the opportunity to ride Seven Dwarfs Mine Train, Big Thunder Mountain Railroad,  Splash Mountain, Space Mountain, The Haunted Mansion, and Pirates of the Caribbean. After lunch at a table service restaurant at one of Disney’s resorts, the tour will continue on to Disney’s Hollywood Studios, where guests get to enjoy the thrilling rides of Star Tours: The Adventures Continue, Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster,  The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror and Toy Story Midway Mania! The day will end at Disney’s Animal Kingdom, where guests will get to ride Expedition Everest and DINOSAUR.

This tour is offered Sunday, Tuesday, and Friday, The tour begins at the Tomorrowland Terrace at 8:15 a.m. (check-in is 15 minutes prior) and lasts for approximately 6-7 hours. The cost is $299 per person, plus tax, but there is a 15% discount available for guests with a Disney Visa, Disney Vacation Club members, and Annual Passholders. The tour is available for ages 10 and up, and there is a minimum height requirement of 48 inches.

  • For the price of these tours, getting your own plaid would be cheaper for many groups. They only way this would be worth it is if you had a small group (2 or 3) and were interested in these specific attractions.

  • SORRY…but I like to enjoy my vacation with my family not tagging alongside someone I just met for the day. Might be good for some…but for me it would not be the same magic just to skip some line waiting…

  • Wait a sec, the “Day of Thrills” isn’t just an ultimate fastpass though, is it? From the “photography backstage is prohibited” remark I have to assume there’s an actual backstage tour of these rides too. I wish more information about that aspect of the “tour” was included in the article.

    • There is not a backstage tour of the attractions. The photography portion is more about the fact that, if I had to wager, in order to accomplish this feat of three parks and multiple attractions in a day, guests may be getting views of backstage areas, which are prohibited from being photographed. This “tour” is just about experiencing the attractions, (it’s kind of like being a celebrity…getting taken from attraction to attraction), not about getting a behind the scenes glimpse that is offered in many of the other backstage tours of the park. Hope this helps.

  • I’ve never done a tour (my kids were too little attempt a 7-hour commitment until now) but from my observations of others with a guide, I think the tour guides for these things are able to take tour participants to the front of the FP line for each of these attractions, right? Ride every roller coaster / headliner at WDW without waiting? Transportation directly between parks and lunch included? That’s like the ultimate fast pass. Hmmm, I admit that’s tempting even for $299+park admission…

  • This can be done following a TP, or a few, and save $300 per person. Would wager the Cast Member tour guide is following a TP!! 😉

  • The price includes lunch (at Whispering Canyon Cafe, I think), so I’d definitely think about it to have a plaid for the day, especially since I have an AP/DVC/visa discount.

  • Lunch is included (at Whispering Canyon Cafe, I hear), so it makes the price slightly more bearable. Plus, if you pick an Epcot EMH night and FPP Test Track, you can kill the 4 parks in a day challenge. Still expensive, but definitely thinking about it for my brother and I.

  • Does the $299 price tag apply to kids under 3?

  • 7DMT without a line? That Thrills VIP tour will sell out for a few months. That line is insane right now. Probably will be for the next year. Maybe it will be like Toy Story Mania or Soarin’ and permanently be jammed. But then those rides have loading issues on top of their popularity.

    Even with the $300 price tag and park hopper? I know people who will pay that and not even think about the cost.

  • Wow, $299 for a tour that lasts most of the day AND you need a valid park-hopper?

    • I agree. While I have an AP, for $299 you shouldn’t need a park hopper ticket in addition. If you’re willing to pay the money, then gather right outside MK then do the tour for the day. Requiring the ability to park hop for that kind of money is ridiculous.

  • Essentially Disney is charging a lot of money for what Universal already has- an Express pass for $89.00. (At least with the express you go get to the front of any line except the Harry Potter attractions).

    Will this tour require theme park admission in addition to the tour price of $299.00?

  • Am I correct in assuming a valid park hopper ticket will be needed for these tours?
