What’s it like inside?

You’re in the world of Pym Tech with decor coming from the mind of Tony Stark - it’s superhero chic bathed in blue light. Even the silverware is marked with the Avengers logo (for now, we’re guessing that this silverware will be a key target for guest theft). The dining room is rimmed by movie screens, much like the newer versions of Animators Palate on the other DCL ships. But here you won’t be talking to an animated turtle - instead you’re gazing at the ageless face of Paul Rudd as his Ant Man persona. Other on-screen characters include The Wasp, the new Captain America, Ms. Marvel, and some bad guy antagonists. The “quantum core” sitting on your table is nominally interactive; you’ll be asked to press some buttons on it to help the superheroes save the world.

Begin your meal with one of two Wakandan Salads or try a showcase appetizer of steamed bao buns, crispy breaded fried shrimp, or hearts of palm ceviche. Entree offerings include Delmonico rib-eye steak, seared turbot filet, pork chops, or chicken schnitzel. The lighter note menu features a lamb shawarma salad because of course it does. The signature dessert is Cheesecake Byte or you can opt for sticky date pudding, key lime pie, or layer cake. On Worlds of Marvel day, skip the paid ice cream up at Joyful Sweets and get the Pym doughnut sundae with dinner. This show-stopping treat is dulce de leche ice cream topped with a pecan brownie, caramel fudge sauce, whipped cream, and a glazed mini donut.

The video entertainment is cute, but like the entertainment at Arendelle, it is very loud and difficult to ignore. You won’t be having much family conversation during the presentation. The wow moments of the Worlds of Marvel take place at the very end of the meal, much like the revelatory moments during the end credits of a Marvel movie. This fun-at-the-end part of the show may frustrate families with small children who are assigned the second dinner seating and just want to get them to bed already.

Guests who are unfamiliar with the general arc of Marvel films, particularly AntMan, may find themselves struggling a bit with the show’s plot. To glean a bit of the background story for this venue, be sure to stop by an Oceaneer Club open house, even if you’re not accompanied by children. A potential drawback to this restaurant is that - because the entertainment is delivered via film - it will be exactly the same every time. If you’ve been on multiple Wish sailings, Marvel night may be your best option to choose for a visit to Palo Steakhouse.
