Tinker Bell Half Marathon Weekend: May 12-14, 2017
Like all RunDisney events, an entire weekend--well, a long weekend--was set aside for the Avengers Super Hero Half Marathon. The weekend culminates in the titular event, but also includes a few other races.
Tinker Bell Half Marathon
The 13.1 mile race is the headliner that occurs on Sunday morning. Participating allows you to run through the Disneyland Resort and surrounding areas as well as participate in a storybook finish. Participants receive a finisher medal, shirt, event guide, and other small items.
Never land 5K
Friday morning begins with this 5K that, sadly, does not aim at the second star to the right and run on 'til morning. Participants receive a finisher medal, shirt, event guide, and other small items.
Tinker Bell 10K
Saturday morning features this 10K. Participants receive a finisher medal, shirt, event guide, and other small items.
Pixie Dust Challenge
The Pixie Dust Challenge is for those who want to race through the weekend. Combining the 10K and Half Marathon, this 19.3 miles of running over 2 days nets you three medals: one for the Challenge and one for each race.
Coast to Coast Medal
In 2017 runners who participate in both the Tinker Bell Half Marathon and the Disney Princess Half Marathon in Walt Disney World will receive a pink Coast to Coast medal.
Also on Saturday morning are the kids races--technically named "runDisney Kids Races presented by GoGo squeeZ® Applesauce on the Go" which, well, is a lot to type. Race distance varies based on age, from a diaper dash to 1 mile. Participants receive a finisher medal, shirt, event guide, and other small items.
