This was the noisiest room I have ever stayed in at ANY hotel anywhere! We thought the noise might be due to a faulty HVAC system but after a visit from maintenance we learned that the housing from the elevator down the hall (not beside) was located above us. That meant that anytime the elevator was in use (!) there was whirring, clanging, squeaking etc. I would have asked to change rooms but we only realized the issue after we had unpacked everything, including groceries and my husband was not willing to pack again.
