Summary
Tucked away behind the aft smokestack, Waves is an outdoor bar catering primarily to sunbathers on Deck 12. Waves’ eight fixed barstools are arranged around an attractive white tile face, and the back of the bar is decorated in small tiles of several different shades of blue. An overhang above the bar provides shades for anyone seated or standing at the bar, but most of the seating – upholstered blue cushions on glossy teak wood booths, and various sets of tables and chairs - is in direct sunlight. Most visitors to Waves are coming from the lounge chairs or sports activities on Deck 13; some are just looking for a quiet spot away from the crowds.
The most popular drinks at Waves are bottled beers, frozen cocktails and mixed drinks. Non-alcoholic smoothies and fruit juices are available for children and abstainers. Waves’ hours vary but it is usually open from late morning to late evening.
Comparing the Ships
A Waves bar is found on both the Dream and Fantasy, and they’re essentially identical. Signals is the comparable bar on the Wonder and Magic, and all four are about the same.
