Description And Comments
Wishes was replaced by a Magic Kingdom fireworks show called Happily Ever After.
Memorable vignettes and music from beloved Disney films combine with a stellar fireworks display while Jiminy Cricket narrates a lump-in-your-throat story about making wishes come true.
A spot we’d previously recommended, in the Tomorrowland Terrace area, was apparently so good that Disney decided to start charging for it. To view Wishes from this location now costs $59 per adult and $35 per child. The viewing area is available starting 1 hour before Wishes, and the event includes a dessert buffet and nonalcoholic beverages. Reservations can be made 180 days in advance online or by calling ☎ 407-wdw-dine (939-3463). If you make a reservation more than two weeks in advance, you’ll be given a default reservation time of 6 p.m. for the dessert party and told to call back within two weeks of your trip for the actual time.
A St. Louis reader tried the dessert buffet:
We did the Wishes Fireworks Dessert Party against my better judgment. While the vantage point was pretty good and the desserts were tasty, it was definitely not worth the price. We also were able to witness firsthand how we have become a nation of morbidly obese people.
