    Buzz Lightyear's Astro Blasters

This attraction is scheduled to be closed temporarily from
Monday, June 17, 2024, to Monday, July 1, 2024.

Description And Comments

This attraction is based on the space-ranger character of Buzz Lightyear from Toy Story. The marginal story line has you and Buzz Lightyear trying to save the universe from the evil Emperor Zurg. The indoor ride is interactive to the extent that you can spin your car and shoot simulated "laser cannons" at Zurg and his minions.

Touring Tips

Buzz Lightyear's Astro Blasters usually has a steady wait time throughout the day, if you wish to ride we recommend using a FastPass.

How's It Different From the Walt Disney World and Disneyland Versions?

Disneyland and Tokyo Disneyland's Astro Blaster rides are nearly identical. It features slightly different scenery than Buzz Lightyear's Space Ranger Spin at Walt Disney World's Magic Kingdom. Also, Magic Kingdom's ride uses laser blasters that are attached to the ride vehicle. The Disneyland and Tokyo Disneyland versions have laser blasters that are tethered to the ride vehicle via a cable, which allows for more accurate free-range aiming. There's no reason to give this a try if you're familiar with any of the other versions of the ride.

Is it English Friendly?

All spoken dialogue is in the Japanese. You'll miss out on the thin story, but you'll still have fun blasting targets and trying to get a better score than the rest of your party.
