In Pooh's Hunny Hunt you'll feel like you've stepped in to the storybook world of Winnie the Pooh. This richly detailed ride beautifully renders Pooh and friends, as well as the Hundred Acre Woods where they reside. Behind the scenes, Hunny Hunt is powered by state of the art trackless technology, meaning all you see on the ground is a flat surface. This gives the ride a wonderful feeling of unpredictability. It also makes Hunny Hunt worth riding multiple times, as occasionally the "Hunny Pot" you ride in will go in a different direction, which allows you to see different things than the previous ride. Pooh's Hunny Hunt is a Tokyo Disneyland treasure that is not duplicated in any other Disney theme park. We consider it a must see.
Touring Tips
Pooh's Hunny Hunt is one of the most popular rides in all of Tokyo Disney Resort, therefore it can see excruciatingly high wait times on busy days (we've seen it reach up to 200 minutes). Even on slower days Hunny Hunt will hover around an hour wait. We recommend riding first thing in the morning, or obtaining a FastPass as early as possible. FastPass usually runs out around noon on most days, so don't delay.
Walt Disney World and Disneyland may have Winnie the Pooh rides, but they're nothing like this. Do not skip this ride. Even if it appears too kiddie for you or your party, at least ride it and appreciate it from a technological standpoint. This is Disney storytelling and technological wizardry at it's finest.
All spoken dialogue from the narrator, Pooh, and the rest of the gang is in Japanese. But it's very easy to visually follow the story of the ride. Pooh wants honey, Pooh uses balloon to get honey, Pooh blows away, then knocks over Eeyore's house, and so on.
