September, 2016 at the ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex
In 2016, Night of Joy activities will be relocated to the ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex. All we know right now is that there will be both indoor and outdoor performances and that Night of Joy guests will still receive admission to Magic Kingdom Park. As soon as we know more we will post it here.
In the meantime, the below information is for the 2015 Night of Joy, which was held at the Magic Kingdom. Use it for reference, but expect some changes in 2016.
2015 Advance Purchase: $65 per night or $115 for a two-night pass (plus tax) Day of Event: $80 per night
The blissfully named Night of Joy is a yearly after-hours, separate-ticket celebration of contemporary Christian music held at the Magic Kingdom.
As mentioned, these are events that occur after the park closes for regular guests. Starting at 7 pm, the Magic Kingdom only remains open to those that have purchased a ticket for a Night of Joy, and it remains open until 1 am. If you buy your tickets in advance, the ticket prices for 2015 are $65 per person per night (plus tax) although you can purchase a two-night pass for $115 (plus tax). For those that wait until the day of the even, the price jumps up to $80 and the two-night pass in not available. There is no differentiation between adult and child pricing, although that price does allow entry to the park at 4 pm so it is easy to save a day on your Magic Your Way park tickets.
There are three outdoor stages, one in front of the castle and two in Tomorrowland, that host the multitude of Christian rock performers. In addition, there is a New Talent Spotlight area housed inside the Diamond Horseshoe in Frontierland. Headliners play in front of Cinderella Castle, but the short walk to Frontierland and Tomorrowland ensures an easy sampling of all the music the night brings.
If you feel like you need a break from the music, many attractions remain open during the party, and the limited-ticket nature of the event means shorter-than-average lines. Space Mountain tends to get mild waits due to the crowds in the Tomorrowland area, but they still usually top out around 30 minutes. Any other attraction will have a minimal line.
The lineup of Christian rock bands for 2015 is just as star-studded as usual, with the following acts:

- Big Daddy Weave
- Francesca Battistelli
