This attraction occupied the Main Street Opera House and replaced The Walt Disney Story, featuring Great Moments with Mr. Lincoln. Itself was replaced with a new version of the Lincoln show, titled The Disneyland Story presenting Great Moments with Mr. Lincoln. Part of the Disneyland 50th-birthday celebration, the combination film-exhibit continued to operate well past the end of the anniversary period. Disneyland: The First 50 Years featured Walt Disney and Disneyland memorabilia, early design renderings of the park and of the attractions, and a specially made, nostalgic film about how Disneyland came to be. Following the film, guests viewed another exhibit showcasing "the Disneyland that never was," highlighting attractions and shows planned but never brought to fruition. The exhibit also offers a glimpse of Disneyland's future.

A slimed-down version of this film can still be viewed at the Opera House on a flat-screen TV outside the Lincoln exhibit/theater.
