At a Glance
EPCOT’s signature landmark, Spaceship Earth spirals through an 18-story geosphere, taking visitors past animatronic scenes depicting mankind’s developments in communications, from cave painting to printing to television to space communications and computer networks. The ride shows an amazing use of the geosphere’s interior.

Spaceship Earth’s scenes are periodically refreshed. The most recent include a home garage showing what looks like the invention of the first Apple personal computer. Interactive screens in the vehicles let you customize the ending animated video. A postshow area with games and interactive exhibits rounds out the attraction.

Because it’s located near EPCOT’s main entrance, Spaceship Earth attracts arriving guests soon after the park opens. Your time is better spent on other Future World attractions, such as Soarin’ Around the World, Test Track, or (when it opens) Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind. Wait times at Spaceship Earth usually fall after 4 p.m., so one option is to see it on the way out of the park.
If lines are long when you arrive, try again after 4 p.m.
