    Soaring: Fantastic Flight

Description And Comments

Soaring: Fantastic Flight is Tokyo DisneySea's custom version of the popular ride from Disney California Adventure, Epcot, and Shanghai Disneyland. DisneySea's Soaring features a new original storyline where riders are greeted by the spirit of the fictional aviator, Camellia Falco. Guests are invited to ride on her newest invention, the "Dream Flyer."

As with the other versions of the attraction, riders sit in rows of seats that lift in to the air, and are then suspended in front of a large screen. Guests then embark on a hang-glider tour with a large-format movie projected all around them. Special effects include wind, sound, and even smell. The ride itself is mildly thrilling but perfectly smooth, and great for all ages.

How's It Different From the Walt Disney World and Disneyland Versions?

Soaring at DisneySea has a different theme and story line, but overall its the same ride. With that being said we think it's much better than it's U.S. counterparts. The building that houses the attraction is gorgeous inside and out. Also, the preshow is stunning, but we won't spoil that for you here. The ride ends with a spectacular flight over Tokyo DisneySea.

Is it English Friendly?

Dialog in the preshow is in Japanese with English subtitles. The ride itself has no spoken dialog.

Touring Tips

Soaring quickly runs out of its stock of Fastpasses for the day. They're usually gone within the first hour the park is open. Because the ride is new it will be the first destination for many park visitors. That means lines will form early and remain long for the rest of the day. To ride with minimum wait we recommend arriving at the front gate 1 hour before park opening and then entering Soaring's standby line first thing, or obtaining a Fastpass.
