What’s it like inside?

The beautiful California Grill remains one of the top choices for Disney dining, both for its remarkable view from the 15th floor of the Contemporary Resort and for its bustling open kitchen, which turns out spectacular fare. It can be crowded and noisy, filled with families who want a view of the Magic Kingdom fireworks, so book a table early or late for a somewhat quieter experience. A showstopping wine display comprises 1,600 bottles in a climate-controlled case just off the elevator. If you don’t have a reservation, ask for a seat at the sushi bar, where you can order appetizers but not entrées, or the lounge, which serves the same menu as the restaurant.
