Breakfast, $12–$17; dinner, $18–$34.
Where Mama Della’s succeeds in not feeling like a hotel restaurant, Trattoria del Porto does not. The food is perfectly fine and moderately priced (relatively speaking). Fridays and Saturdays are interactive “Pasta Cucina” nights, where you can create your own entree from a variety of noodles and sauces ($25.99 adults, $12 kids). Omelets at breakfast can set you back more than $14, so opt instead for the buffet offered most mornings.
Setting and Atmosphere
Like a boisterous down-home Italian kitchen. A play area lets kids watch cartoons while the grownups eat. Character dining on Friday nights, 6:30 – 9:30 p.m.; face painter and balloon artists on Thrusday and Saturday nights, 6:30 – 9:30 p.m.
Charred calamari; 12-ounce New York strip; 10-ounce churrasco; shrimp and clam scampi; bone-in salmon steak; pancetta wrapped meat loaf.
