The cuisine is advertised as “New England comfort food.” Reader ratings have improved substantially in the past year, without compromising the diversity of the menu.

Setting and Atmosphere

This venue serves “Eastern seaboard eats.” The large dining room is polished and pretty in a generic way, but there’s no theme to speak of.

House Specialties

For dinner, start with the cabernet-braised short ribs with roasted vegetables and end with the 12-layer chocolate cake.

Other Recommendations

Breakfast selections include salted caramel– apple French toast, plus the usual combinations of eggs, bacon, pancakes, and waffles. Dinner features pastas, chicken, steaks, a good bacon–Vermont Cheddar burger, and a seafood pot pie with shrimp, scallops, crab, and sustainable fish. On the upside, vegetarians have two full-fledged meal options: the Protein Bowl (with quinoa, vegan Italian sausage, sweet potato, and Broccolini) and a pasta with mushrooms and other veggies.
